Sprint Marathon in Capemclear has just started oof

The 2026 Lake Malawi Sailing Marathon SPRINT has officially commenced. A fleet of 9 boats launched from Chembe Eagles Nest in Cape Maclear at 8:00 AM this morning.This morning's successful start follows a busy preparation day yesterday, where teams finalized all boat rigging, completed essential equipment checks, and executed mandatory capsize drills.The Day 1 route takes the fleet from Eagles Nest, around Thumbi Island, heading towards and around ZimRock, before battling back to the finish line at Eagles Nest.Stay tuned for updates as the teams navigate today's course!
